California Adventureland!

June 15

 

On Sunday we visited the sister park, Disney's California Adventureland!

 

 

We experienced more rides and attractions.

 

Saw Pixar's amazing sculptural zoetrope.

 

Watched a terrific performance of Aladdin.

 

And of course, ended the weekend with the Wonderful World of Colour.

 



Disneyland!

June 14

 

On Saturday we went to the happiest place on Earth, for my first time.

 

 

We saw most of the park...

 

...went on many of the rides...

 

...and saw a few characters.

 

And of course we saw the fireworks.

 

 

 



Downtown Disney

June 13

 

On Friday we checked out Downtown Disney!

 

 

Lots of cool stores there, like the Lego store.

 

And the enormous Disney merch store.

Dragon Training!

June 12

 

Today we saw How to Train Your Dragon 2. Overall a really good (and really pretty) movie!

 



Week 2

June 2-8

This week I managed to find a few more studios in the neighbourhood.

I also went to a studio launch party and got to see some cool new cartoons.

 

And tonight I went to see a movie at none other than The Chinese Theatre!

Universal Studios

June 1

 

Today we went out to Universal Studios, which is pretty close to where we're staying. We experienced most of the attractions today with plans to return.

 

 

There was also a small cinematic museum, with costumes and props from a lot of cool productions, like the upcoming Boxtrolls...

 

...the Battlestar Galacticas (and Jurassic Parks)...

 

...and my personal favourite...

 

 

...the Deloreon from Back the Future.

 



Burbank!

May 31

 

Today I went on an solo outting. I walked up to and around Burbank, seeing:

The Warner Brothers Studios...
 

 

...NBC Studios...

 

 

...Disney Studios...

 

 

...Nickelodeon Studios...

 

 

...and Bob's Big Boy.

 

 

Both my camera and phone were depleted by the end of the day, but I finished off by attending this storyboarding talk at the Victory Theatre Centre.
